How does it work?

We use proprietary sensing technology to assist umpires in determining the most accurate three-dimensional strike zone outside of the major leagues.

Cloud-connected

Our sensing technology is deployed at ballparks. Pitch data is sent from the ballpark, to the cloud, to your smartphone or tablet.

Live Action

Watch every pitch in real-time,
right on your smartphone.

Accurate Balls & Strikes

Give your officiating crew, the players, and coaches everything they need to be confident in creating the best baseball environment possible.

Why MaskCast?

While coaching youth baseball, our founder, Hank Jenkins, recognized the importance the ballpark plays in bringing communities together. He also recognized the weaknesses all humans have: we all flip our lids when life’s not fair. He saw it in parents, coaches, athletes, and in himself. Umpires, doing the best they can with the tools they’ve been trained to use (their own two eyes, maybe a pair of contacts, and their training), would sometimes simply get it wrong – just like you and I would if we were asked to put on a mask and step behind the plate. Watching a spinner come in at 35-80 mph (depending on the age group) and assessing whether the ball went through the zone, clipped the front edge, or was simply outside is tough to do in three dimensions when you need to make a decision in a matter of seconds. Hank wanted to create a cost effective way to help umpires make the correct call, because EVERY PITCH COUNTS. His solution: connect world-class sensing technology to the umpiring staff, the fans, and the coaches to let them know the most accurate location of the pitch relative to the strike zone.
